A Life of Brokenness and Addiction

My name is Renee, and this is how Jesus Christ’s love saved me.

For years, my life was filled with sin, abuse, and broken relationships. After my third marriage, I was prescribed opiates—and quickly became addicted. As a result, my life revolved around maintaining that addiction and avoiding withdrawal.

Although I tried many times to quit, I could not break free.

Opening Doors and Spiritual Oppression

During that time, I cried out to the Lord for help. I wanted to hear God, so I began searching for answers.

However, I made a mistake. I explored practices that opened doors to spiritual darkness. Soon after, I began experiencing disturbing encounters—fear, physical sensations, and attacks at night.

Because of shame, I kept these things hidden, even from those closest to me.

Crying Out to Jesus for Help

Despite everything, I continued to pray and repent. Even when fear came at night, I chose to seek Jesus.

Eventually, I found Deliverance Revolution Ministries and reached out for help. Pastor Nate responded quickly and prayed with me.

Although I did not share everything at first, God already knew what I needed.

Freedom from Opiate Addiction

After prayer, something changed.

Within about a week, I knew I had been delivered from opiates. I felt peace, and the Holy Spirit confirmed that I was free.

Because of this, I stopped taking them. Instead, I spent time thanking God and seeking a closer relationship with Him.

Breaking Free from Nicotine Addiction

However, I still struggled with smoking.

Then I learned to take a step of faith. Each time I reached for a cigarette, I declared out loud that I was no longer addicted.

Although it took consistency, everything shifted. About 30 days later, I felt led to throw them away completely.

As a result, I experienced peace instead of withdrawal. Even the desire disappeared.

A Life Transformed by Jesus

Today, I am free.

Not only has God delivered me from addiction and oppression, but He has also filled my life with His love and peace. In addition, my children are now growing in prayer and faith.

Because of Jesus, I have a new life—and I choose to surrender to Him daily.
