Prayer of Total Surrender to Jesus Christ
Heavenly Father, I come before You in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, my Lord and Savior. Today, I lay down my life at the foot of the Cross. I choose to surrender all that I am—my spirit, soul, and body—into the hands of the One who died and rose again for me.
Lord Jesus, You said, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me” (Luke 9:23, NKJV). Today I choose to deny myself. I choose to let go of my own will, my own way, and my own desires, that I may follow You without reservation. I confess that without You, I can do nothing, but through You, I can do all things (John 15:5; Philippians 4:13).
I surrender my past, with all its failures, sins, and regrets, to Your cleansing blood. For Your Word declares, “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9). Wash me anew, Lord. Purify my heart. Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me (Psalm 51:10).
I surrender my present circumstances into Your hands. You are my Shepherd, and I shall not want (Psalm 23:1). You are the One who orders my steps, for “the steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and He delights in his way” (Psalm 37:23). Even when I do not understand, I trust in You. As it is written, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths” (Proverbs 3:5–6).
Lord, I surrender my future. I will not fear tomorrow, for You hold my tomorrow. You are the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End (Revelation 22:13). My life is hidden with Christ in God (Colossians 3:3). Therefore, I cast all my cares upon You, knowing that You care for me (1 Peter 5:7).
I surrender my will. Like Jesus prayed in Gethsemane, “Not My will, but Yours, be done” (Luke 22:42). Break every stubbornness within me that resists Your leading. Remove every idol from my heart. May I never cling to anything above You. For You alone are my Lord, and besides You, I have no good thing (Psalm 16:2).
I surrender my body as a living sacrifice. Your Word commands, “Present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service” (Romans 12:1). I lay down my appetites, my habits, and even my weaknesses. Let every member of my body be an instrument of righteousness unto You (Romans 6:13).
I surrender my mind. Lord, transform me by the renewing of my mind, that I may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God (Romans 12:2). I take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5). I will meditate on things that are true, noble, just, pure, lovely, of good report, virtuous, and praiseworthy (Philippians 4:8).
I surrender my heart. Lord, I will love You with all my heart, with all my soul, with all my mind, and with all my strength (Mark 12:30). Let my heart be tender before You, humble, and obedient. Let me walk in the fear of the Lord all the days of my life (Proverbs 9:10).
I surrender my relationships. I forgive those who have wronged me, just as Christ forgave me (Colossians 3:13). I release bitterness, anger, and resentment, for Your Word says, “Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you” (Ephesians 4:31–32).
I surrender my family into Your hands. I declare, as Joshua did, “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord” (Joshua 24:15). I surrender my children, my spouse, my loved ones, to Your perfect will. Protect them, guide them, and bring them into the fullness of Christ.
I surrender my possessions and resources. Everything I have belongs to You. “The earth is the Lord’s, and all its fullness, the world and those who dwell therein” (Psalm 24:1). Teach me to be a faithful steward of all You entrust to me. May my treasures not be stored on earth but in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy (Matthew 6:19–20).
Lord Jesus, I surrender my ministry and calling into Your hands. Use me for Your glory. Let my light so shine before men, that they may see my good works and glorify my Father in heaven (Matthew 5:16). Not unto me, O Lord, not unto me, but to Your name give glory (Psalm 115:1).
I surrender my destiny. You said, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope” (Jeremiah 29:11). Fulfill Your purpose in me, O God. Let me finish my race with joy and the ministry I received from the Lord Jesus (Acts 20:24).
I declare today, I am crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me (Galatians 2:20).
Lord, I surrender all. Take my life and let it be consecrated to You. Take my moments and my days; let them flow in ceaseless praise. I give You my all—my heart, my mind, my strength, my future, my eternity.
I pray all this in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior.
Amen.
